I Pionieri dell'Under 18. L'unione di due modi di vivere il tennis

In questi campi sono cresciuti ragazzi e ragazze che oggi vediamo nei tabelloni dei grandi Slam; molti di loro hanno iniziato a sognare in queste stesse giornate, sulle stesse righe bianche e sulla stessa terra rossa che accoglie i protagonisti di questa 42ª edizione.
Lo scorso anno, grazie al sostegno di Estra, abbiamo organizzato la prima edizione del Trofeo Under 18 Wheelchair: pionieri mondiali nell’unire atleti normodotati e atleti paralimpici nello stesso evento under 18, abbiamo conquistato un enorme successo di pubblico e risonanza mediatica.
Quel trionfo ha ispirato altri tornei, che in seguito hanno deciso di aggiungere il trofeo wheelchair, diffondendo un messaggio di vera inclusione.
Oggi accogliamo con gioia questi straordinari atleti per la seconda volta, sempre con Estra al nostro fianco. Viva il Tennis Viva il tennis Club Prato, viva questa festa irripetibile! Il loro coraggio e la loro passione ci riempiono il cuore, confermando che il tennis è uno sport universale, capace di unire sogni e superare ogni barriera.

The Under-18 Pioneers. The union of two ways of living tennis

This year, Tennis Club Prato is experiencing another special chapter in its history: the 42nd edition of the International Under-18 Tournament, which intertwines with the 2nd edition of the Under-18 Wheelchair Estra Trophy, creating a single, grand celebration of tennis, sport, and inclusion.
Forty-two years have passed since the first ball was put into play in our youth tournament, and every time we return to fill the Club’s courts with the world’s best young talents, it always feels like the first time. Seeing the stands filled, hearing the languages and accents mingle in the locker rooms, and hearing the clatter of rackets from dawn to dusk: all of this reminds us of how far we’ve come, but above all, how much passion continues to drive Tennis Club Prato.
Boys and girls who today appear in the draws of the Grand Slams grew up on these courts; many of them began dreaming on these very days, on the same white lines and the same red clay that welcomes the “leading actors” of this 42nd edition.
Last year, thanks to Estra’s support, we organized the first edition of the Under-18 Wheelchair Trophy: world pioneers in connecting able-bodied athletes and Paralympic athletes in the same under-18 event, we achieved enormous success with both the public and media attention. That success inspired other tournaments, which subsequently decided to add the wheelchair trophy, spreading a message of true inclusion.
Today, we joyfully welcome these extraordinary athletes for the second time, once again with Estra at our side.
Their courage and passion fill our hearts, confirming that tennis is a universal sport, capable of uniting dreams and overcoming every barrier. Long live Tennis! Long live Tennis Club Prato! Long live this unique celebration!
